Changing Our Story

Every single moment of every single day is a chance to rewrite your life story. What happened in the past is not YOU right now. It might help shape you into who you are right now and teach you lessons to help you become a better person than you were five minutes ago. But you have the power to change all of that right now, this very second. The first thing you need to change is your emotions.

Live each day in a very happy, go-lucky state. No complaining. And notice how things change for you much easier than they ever have. When you complain about something, it constantly manifests what you are complaining about to stay in your life. You hate your job and you say that every day, the Universe will conspire to keep you in that job. But if you love your life and know things are getting better and better every day, no matter what the circumstances are, the Universe will reward you with those good things you think about.

It really is that simple to change your life: CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS!!!

I challenge you to go for 24 hours without complaining once. And notice all of the good changes in your life. Don't complain silently in your head or outloud to another person. Don't use any negative words: I can't, I won't, I shouldn't, I couldn't, etc. Use only positive phrases: I love my life. I love my job. I love my family. I love being outdoors. I am achieving my dreams and goals. I am healthy and happy. My life is amazing.

The more you use the positive words, the more positive will manifest into you life. And you can continue to change your story more and more because you have the faith that you can change your story each and every day. I've seen posts about not being the same person I was just 2 months ago. When you work to change your story, like I have and so many others I know, you aren't the same person you were 2 months ago. You are changing that story, not letting your past define you, valuing what you have and what you can give, and just living a very positive life. My life changes more and more each day and I absolutely love it! I love change and I love having new people and situations in my life every day. It helps me grow as a person and learn new things. And you can do this too!

Venus Self Renewal, Day 9, 10, 11

Day 9, 10 and 11 of 40 Days of Venus Self Renewal: The magical doorway. Yes, this one is a three part process. Thank for you for your patience with the reactivation of this journey as I paused to sit with the last day that was 2013 and allowed space to be with the first few days of 2014.

Part 1: Imagine you are about to step through a divine portal, one that can transport you from where you are to where you truly desire to be. Before you step through it, write a love note (or thank you note) to 2013. Focus on the lessons, blessings, gifts, insights, aha moments, wisdoms and intuitive gems received during your past 365 days. This may or may not include some of the things on your gratitude list from day 8.

Part 2: It’s time to pick a word for the new cycle ahead. Use it as a focus, guide or intention. Life-enhancing feeling-based words can be the most powerful here. Write down your word. Or if several come to you, write them all down then circle the one that jumps out at you the most. Then write down (i) what this word means to you, (ii) why this word speaks to you right now and (iii) how are some of the ways you can invite this word into your life in the coming days ahead

Part 3: Your magical doorway. Imagine on one side 2013, a year that on many levels held up a reflection of who we are not, gifting us the opportunity to shed old and outgrown definitions of self. On the other side of the doorway is 2014, a year that will hold up a mirror (if we allow it) of all that we really are. Pure energy, light and love. Visually express out what your magical doorway looks like using the materials that call you.

Venus Self Renewal, Day 8

Day 8 of 40 Days of Venus Self Renewal: Gratitude. Write down 10 or more things that you are truly thankful for in this past year. However 2013 unfolded for you, take a moment to bring to mind what you are grateful for in your life. Keep a self-empowered focus. If you list a material object, allow yourself to look deeper and write what that object means to your life. When you pause and reflect include what really makes you feel wholeheartedly good, what uplifts your spirit, what has taught you deep lessons, what has given you blessings, what touches your heart and what expands your capacity to love and be your authentic self. Keep writing until you feel done. Breathe that in, and out.

If you feel called, do a small ritual to symbolise giving thanks to the universe/ divine/ source energy/ oneness/ your higher self. You are welcome to add your ideas in the comments below.

Venus Self Renewal, Day 7

Day 7 of 40 Days of Venus Self Renewal: What have you learned about yourself and your life in 2013? Write out 10 or more things. Keeping a soul nourishing perspective write out your list as if you were writing it about a beloved friend. It’s unlikely you would say ‘Oh, you learned you completely lack courage!’. Right? Word it in a way that encourages your highest movement forward. Such as, ‘You learned that you move through life in the best way you know how in that moment’.

Use markers, pencils or other materials to circle or highlight words that jump out for you.

Daily Affirmation Challenge, Day 2

Continue using the same affirmation you started with yesterday.  Remember, it can be your own or the one I'm using.

Affirmation: I love myself unconditionally. I love my body and all of its flaws. I am unique and perfect just the way I am. Love comes to me naturally and I know just how to share my love with those who I come into contact with.

Step 1: Stand or sit in front of the mirror. Chant OM 21 times to help clear your mind and raise your personal vibration. Then say the affirmation out loud 21 times to yourself in the mirror.

Step 2: In your notebook or journal, write Day 2 as the heading, then write your affirmation 21 times.

Step 3: Spend a few minutes in quiet meditation. This can be anywhere from 2-30 minutes, just spend some quiet time alone and enjoy the peace and serenity that washes over you at this time.

Go about the rest of your day. If any negative thoughts come up about your affirmation, stop, acknowledge those feelings and then just let them go. If you need to, repeat your affirmation to yourself a few times to help release the negativity you may have.

Here are the other days in the challenge. You can start with Day 1 any day and just follow along with the rest of the days in order.

Who Do YOU Want Others to See YOU As?

When you wake up each morning, who do you see yourself as? Who do you want others to see YOU as? What do you want to be known as when you are no longer on the Earth plane?

If you create a positive start to each day when you first wake up each morning, that will make your day go that much better. Have you ever noticed, the days you wake up grumpy, achy, "on the wrong side of the bed", nothing ever seems to go right that day? If you haven't, try it and let me know how your day goes. Pick one or the other, a positive wake up or a grumpy wake up.

It's actually really that simple. Create a morning ritual. No matter how you actually feel when you wake up, start your day with thanking God, the universe, whatever your choice is, for giving you another day and that you are grateful that your dreams are coming true. Just doing this each day will help you change the mood you already had. You are now feeling grateful for what you have in your life and what you are receiving. You can then journal your personal affirmations that you want want to affirm for the day. They can be anything from how you feel about yourself to the day is going to perfect to you are grateful for your job. Positive affirmations and being grateful will really set the tone for a great day. You can also listen to some great music that will just make you dance while you start preparing for your day.

The way you go about your day is also how others see you. You may be seeing a stranger on the street, a clerk in the store you are buying your groceries in, or even a coworker. But if you have a negative attitude towards your day, this is how these people will perceive you as a person. Change your negative to a positive and see how that changes how people react to you.

Let me know how this works for you! I love hearing these stories! Follow me on Twitter and Pinterest
